7am readings are 139/89 and 60. I have an appointment with Dr King Rankin at 2:10 pm. for my follow up.
Meet Dr King Rankin at my 2:10 pm appointment. After a review of my recent hospital stays, she recommends that I have a Catheter Ablation. I asked for the appointment in about a month to let my arms heal. I have a pamphlet to read all about it. BP at the office was 100/xx. A bit on the low side but still good.
8:30 pm readings are 133/76 and 60. Superb numbers!

Last Thursday I had high heart rate in the 140-150 range starting at 4:30am. With this I had some neck and shoulder discomfort but no chest pain. After about an hour and seeing the BPM go to 152 i decided to call 911 and go to the hospital. This is the 4th time since Aug 15, 2012 that this has sent me to the hospital. on the August date I had high BPM as described earlier on that date. The explanation of the other times this week are in the dates herein.
This trip the Er Dr admitted me probably because of the 3 prior trips for the same reason. the med changes prior to the admittance did not accomplish the task to control the high BPM. He had me on a drip of 5% dextrose and a drip of Ameridioum.I had a CTscan of the lungs to check if there was any blood clot which returned negative results on Friday. Ii was then scheduled for an at rest stress test that afternoon and a Saturday Chemical stress test. While starting the test my high BPM became active and were well recoded on the EKG strip that was running. I expressed my desire to continue and the lab techs saw no reason to stop the test so on the test went.
The results here there is the 1985 heart damage is there but the good new is there seems to be some new collateral blood flow in that area. The Cardiologist stated that the heart function was at 58% but he had his doubts. My meds were changed seemingly daily with the final results noted below as an agreement between the Cardiologist, admitting Internal Medicine doctor and lung doctor Dr Bafuyi. Dr. Bafuyi had done the standard breathing test to answer the Medicare questionnaire to show why continued oxygen was warranted. From that test he added the Rx for the Nebulizer with the Xopenex solution, actually the generic Levalbuterol and Prednisone. His test showed that my lung function was now at 26%. He has in my chart the graphs for 2012 and 2011 that shows the downward trend of my lung deterioration.
I had good Saturday and that night. I got some sleep and was on Coreg (Carvedilol), 2 ea 6.25mg twice a day and had my first tab of the Ameridioum. This was the only tab I was given which was in the morning. The meds changed Saturday afternoon after a conference with the cardo and lung Doctors. The new drug in place of the Ameridioum was the Betapace, actually the generic Sotalol.
I came home about noon with the discharge papers and all the Rx as shown but not correct. I have been diagnosed with "Superaventricular Tachycardia (STV), brief. This was the second time that this was done. The little old lady cardiologist Dr Schapayak when she reviewed the implant printouts. I listened to her but with further problems I really wanted a second opinion and got it. She had been right all along but left the final decision to Dr King-Rankin on Monday, Sept 24, 2012 appointment.
Dr King Rankin is the stated expert in all this and can still change my meds on Monday. If so I will post that on Monday after the appointment. For me I got what i wanted and that was some resolution as to what was going on. My STV is not life threatening unless there is some added chest and neck pain.

As
of this morning at 9am the readings are 116/77 and 111 (143) There is anxiety
in the chest but not chest, neck or arm pain. This high bpm goes down to normal
after about 30 minutes from taking my meds. I took my meds at 8:45 am.
My bpm came on with my getting dressed as that
was my only activity this morning. I also did my Nebulizer treatment this morning and now on 02 for awhile prior to going to Wal-Mart to get some Nitroglycerin tabs that I am out of.
At 9:50am my bpm is at normal, 75. I am still on home 02 from my generator.
At 1:30pm readings are 96/62 and 66. No Lisinopril taken today.
At 7:15 pm readings are 121/77 and 84 while doing my Nebulizer
6:15am
readings are 148/91 and 61
8:30am readings are 108/89 and 123. At breakfast
I took my meds and 2 Carvedilol 6.25mg tabs and 1 Lisinopril tab, 5 mg. I began
to get bpm as high as 152 several times. I called 911 and was taken to the
Harris ER. The Medstar readings was 149 bpm. BP was normal. I was not give anything in the ER as my bpm had corrected itself. The Medtronic's tech was called in and read the ICUD to get the events as recorded. I was sent to Dr. Schapayak's office, 817-820-0141, for follow up. She read the ICUD strip and told me I was having stray Tachacardia and not a problem for me. When I have chest pain and/or arm pain then its the Tachacardia that I'm having and that is call for concern.
She had an echo of the heart done and it shows that the heart is at 30% of function. She agreed that the 4 Carvedilol 6.25mg tab I was taking was fine.
She wanted me to tack 400mg of the drug I had last year. I do not have that to take.
I will see Dr King Rankin on Monday, Sept 24 for a chemical stress test.
