readings for 8:30 pm are 108/70 and 77 with 97%. I have not been keeping this blog up as the numbers are very good. They are read every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at my rehab class. As long as the numbers are good I will not be doing a daily update. I would like my heart sate around 60 but that may happen next month.
All the 02% are on room air.

This
mornings reading at 10 am is 113/69 and 74. I monitored the readings thru the
night to make sure the bp did not get very high. It did not. I am still off my
blood pressure med to get the bp up. This mornings reading is much better. I
still had a low grade fever late yesterday. none so far today.
Vital readings have been very good so far today.
126/85 and 70 this morning.

Let me get you updated. Last Wednesday morning thru yesterday I was having low bp and elevated heat rate. My bp at the start of the rehab was 113/xx with a 8x heart rate indicating something was wrong. My ability to do the exercises was restricted and had to use 02 most of the time I was there. My exit bp was 99.60 with the heart rate still elevated. My normal rate is 60. Above 70 means I have something wrong.
I went to my 2 pm doctors appointment and had an ekg and my vitals taken. The first medical assistant was unable to get my bp as she could not hear it.A second person came in and was also unable ot get my bp on the first try. The second try she was successful and got 88/58. My bp was low thru Friday bit not that low.
Friday night I ran a fever of 100.4 and woke up Saturday with no fever and feeling fine. I would call that normal for me. I did two loads of clothes and took a nap around 3 pm. I woke up at 6:30 pm with a warm feeling. My temp was talken at 7 pm with a 99.8 reading. At 8 pm the temp reading was 99.9. With all I have wrong, my temp cutoff is 103. Above that is a call for an ambulance and a trip to the hospital. Any infection I would have is life threatening above that number.
With an elevated heart rate, my ability to process 02 into the blood steam and exchange C02 out is restricted. My saturation level drops from room air at 97-99% to 92-94%. At that lower level I have to have 02 assist and breath very laboriously. I am basically unable to speak while I am trying to inhale as much 02 as possible.
Bp as of the end of this is 107/74 and 67. I have stopped my bp med to get my bp to rise to higher level. so far I have been off that med 24 hrs now.

7: 45 pm reading is 113/65 and 68.As long as my readings are stable as they have been, I will post only twice daily.
I went to the 1st of many lung rehab classes today. I signed many papers and filled out a questioner of my COPD and what it is and how to deal with it. I will be attending class 3 times a week for 12 weeks which hopefully improves my physical being to be a stronger person. that wont take much as I have had to deal with heart problem from April, 2010 to now with a continuing high heart rate. I will have an appointment with a cardio doctor to due another procedure later at a time to be determined.
To those in the medical field that read this, your comments and alerts are most welcome.Should it be necessary for me to seek medical help. best to email me or make an appointment for me to see a doctor. I will have been to the ER if necessary and then that will be posted with the why and results.

7am
readings are 160/85 and 60 and 97%. I made my appointment with my VA primary
doctor this morning and updated him on all my happenings over the last 6
months. My meds were updated to those in effect by my lung and cardiac doctors
while I was hospitalized. My vitals and weight were very good and he was happy
with my labs from Harris Fort Worth. I will see him next March, 2013 for the
next scheduled appointment.

7am readings are 139/89 and 60. I have an appointment with Dr King Rankin at 2:10 pm. for my follow up.
Meet Dr King Rankin at my 2:10 pm appointment. After a review of my recent hospital stays, she recommends that I have a Catheter Ablation. I asked for the appointment in about a month to let my arms heal. I have a pamphlet to read all about it. BP at the office was 100/xx. A bit on the low side but still good.
8:30 pm readings are 133/76 and 60. Superb numbers!

Last Thursday I had high heart rate in the 140-150 range starting at 4:30am. With this I had some neck and shoulder discomfort but no chest pain. After about an hour and seeing the BPM go to 152 i decided to call 911 and go to the hospital. This is the 4th time since Aug 15, 2012 that this has sent me to the hospital. on the August date I had high BPM as described earlier on that date. The explanation of the other times this week are in the dates herein.
This trip the Er Dr admitted me probably because of the 3 prior trips for the same reason. the med changes prior to the admittance did not accomplish the task to control the high BPM. He had me on a drip of 5% dextrose and a drip of Ameridioum.I had a CTscan of the lungs to check if there was any blood clot which returned negative results on Friday. Ii was then scheduled for an at rest stress test that afternoon and a Saturday Chemical stress test. While starting the test my high BPM became active and were well recoded on the EKG strip that was running. I expressed my desire to continue and the lab techs saw no reason to stop the test so on the test went.
The results here there is the 1985 heart damage is there but the good new is there seems to be some new collateral blood flow in that area. The Cardiologist stated that the heart function was at 58% but he had his doubts. My meds were changed seemingly daily with the final results noted below as an agreement between the Cardiologist, admitting Internal Medicine doctor and lung doctor Dr Bafuyi. Dr. Bafuyi had done the standard breathing test to answer the Medicare questionnaire to show why continued oxygen was warranted. From that test he added the Rx for the Nebulizer with the Xopenex solution, actually the generic Levalbuterol and Prednisone. His test showed that my lung function was now at 26%. He has in my chart the graphs for 2012 and 2011 that shows the downward trend of my lung deterioration.
I had good Saturday and that night. I got some sleep and was on Coreg (Carvedilol), 2 ea 6.25mg twice a day and had my first tab of the Ameridioum. This was the only tab I was given which was in the morning. The meds changed Saturday afternoon after a conference with the cardo and lung Doctors. The new drug in place of the Ameridioum was the Betapace, actually the generic Sotalol.
I came home about noon with the discharge papers and all the Rx as shown but not correct. I have been diagnosed with "Superaventricular Tachycardia (STV), brief. This was the second time that this was done. The little old lady cardiologist Dr Schapayak when she reviewed the implant printouts. I listened to her but with further problems I really wanted a second opinion and got it. She had been right all along but left the final decision to Dr King-Rankin on Monday, Sept 24, 2012 appointment.
Dr King Rankin is the stated expert in all this and can still change my meds on Monday. If so I will post that on Monday after the appointment. For me I got what i wanted and that was some resolution as to what was going on. My STV is not life threatening unless there is some added chest and neck pain.

As
of this morning at 9am the readings are 116/77 and 111 (143) There is anxiety
in the chest but not chest, neck or arm pain. This high bpm goes down to normal
after about 30 minutes from taking my meds. I took my meds at 8:45 am.
My bpm came on with my getting dressed as that
was my only activity this morning. I also did my Nebulizer treatment this morning and now on 02 for awhile prior to going to Wal-Mart to get some Nitroglycerin tabs that I am out of.
At 9:50am my bpm is at normal, 75. I am still on home 02 from my generator.
At 1:30pm readings are 96/62 and 66. No Lisinopril taken today.
At 7:15 pm readings are 121/77 and 84 while doing my Nebulizer
6:15am
readings are 148/91 and 61
8:30am readings are 108/89 and 123. At breakfast
I took my meds and 2 Carvedilol 6.25mg tabs and 1 Lisinopril tab, 5 mg. I began
to get bpm as high as 152 several times. I called 911 and was taken to the
Harris ER. The Medstar readings was 149 bpm. BP was normal. I was not give anything in the ER as my bpm had corrected itself. The Medtronic's tech was called in and read the ICUD to get the events as recorded. I was sent to Dr. Schapayak's office, 817-820-0141, for follow up. She read the ICUD strip and told me I was having stray Tachacardia and not a problem for me. When I have chest pain and/or arm pain then its the Tachacardia that I'm having and that is call for concern.
She had an echo of the heart done and it shows that the heart is at 30% of function. She agreed that the 4 Carvedilol 6.25mg tab I was taking was fine.
She wanted me to tack 400mg of the drug I had last year. I do not have that to take.
I will see Dr King Rankin on Monday, Sept 24 for a chemical stress test.

About 9:30 am Saturday, my heart rate went to the mid to upper 140's and stayed there. After 30 minutes we went to the ER of Harris Methodist, Fort Worth, and had a heart rate of 145. Approximately 11:30 am the rate finally dropped to normal, upper 80's. As of this writing, 7:00pm the rate is still at a normal rate of upper 80's to low 90's. I have been admitted for observation over night. I was discharged Sunday afternoon with med changes.
Sitting at the laptop this Monday afternoon, 4:30 PM, the readings are: 175/94 and 82 heart rate. Meds changes are Carvedilol at 6.25 mg twice daily and Lisinopril 5mg once in the morning.
At 9 pm Monday the readings are 115/74 and 84 heart rate.
Its Tuesday noon and the readings are 112/71 and 67 heart rate.

We went to Mercedes, Tx Thursday to look at our lot and measure the existing concrete. the trip was without any problems. We came home on Saturday, yesterday. I carried up the one flight of stairs to the apartment my portable oxygen, 8# computer, 6# computer (both laptops) and dragged my small suitcase up the stairs. After I got in and set everything down, I could feel the "anxiety" feeling i get when my bp and/or heart rate was up. Was the case.
The readings are 128/95 bp and heart rate of 90. This morning I went to her car which we took to the valley and added washer fluid. No problems doing that. I came back up the stairs to the apartment and got the anxiety feeling again and sit down and took the following readings. 136/80 bp and 93 heart rate. All this about 9:48 am. An hour later as I write this the readings are 104/66 bp and 93 heart rate. I feel fine at this time.
I believe my meds need adjusting to have some control of the bp and heart rate.

I went in for a catarac surgery on the right eye and had bp problems. As I recall the initial reading was 16x/12x. I was given an IV with a bp lowering Rx and the bp came down after 15m to an acceptable level for the surgery. I had no problems with the surgery and recovery after to today, 8/3/2012. The nurse doing the needle insertion had trouble finding my artery and caused my elbow to swell and bruise It is slowly getting better but is still sore.

I am folding clothes after eating a light lunch at this time of day. Vitals are 163/93 and 78 heart rate. My stomach is a bit upset and there is some slight perspiration. I have that anxiety feeling when the blood pressure goes up like this. Otherwise my breathing is fine, not labored. I am on 02 to see if that helps my bp to go down. I have just came back from a 3 hr search for a collapsible table like the chairs that fit in a bag. Picnic item. Search was a waste of time.
At 2"45 pm, bp is 104/62 and 78 hr.

Bp this afternoon is 83/58 and heart rate of 78. I played golf this morning, 17 holes and skipped the 18th. I had to stop 3 times to rest as I was getting exhausted. Not tired but running out of gas. I'm using the portable 02 between holes yet today I was getting to tired to continue. At this time I am exhausted, to tired to do much of any physical activity. I took a 1 1/2 nap and got up as tired as when I laid down.
I went thru these low bp in 2009 to February 2010 when I had the Defib installed. I'm playing golf 3x a week and seem to be getting weaker. I do drive to the ball except at the green where I have to walk to the ball to hit it on the green. Med problem? I don't sleep well at night. Thus I need to take a nap daily to makeup for the sleep.
I will rest between golf days. Be on the laptop playing my online computer game and this week will go back to walking more. I haven't been doing the walking since I started golfing but I think I will go back to walking.

Cat Scan Results
Results of Friday's cat scan were very positive. No change or current problems with the existing AAA. The "butt" pain I was having was from blood vessels finding new paths to where ever they were going. The prior AAA surgery was good and the artery swelling had been reduced where the stint had been planted July, 2011. Everything is fine per the Radiology report to Dr. Broker on Friday, 4/26/2012. No restrictions on activity and the pain should cease very soon. I can continue with morning aspirin and over the counter pain meds as required. Life is good!
